Mole removals

When cells in the skin called as melanocytes grow in clusters or clumps, the moles are formed. Melanocytes produce melanin, the pigment that is responsible for giving skin its colour. Protecting the skin from Sun will lead to preventing the formation of moles.

Treatment of moles

Generally, moles don’t need to be treated. However, when the mole is causing irritation while shaving or is spoiling your look or has become cancerous; the doctor will surgically remove it for you.

Removing mole is an outpatient procedure as it takes a short time to remove the moles. Under local anaesthesia, the doctor will numb the area around the mole and cut it out
